1. Our Quality Guarantee

At Belles, we take immense pride in our local roots and our “Quality Guaranteed” promise. Chris and our team meticulously inspect every catch to ensure it meets our high standards for freshness and flavor. We want you to be absolutely delighted with your seafood.

2. Perishable Goods Policy

Due to the perishable nature of seafood and food safety regulations, we generally cannot accept returns or exchanges once the product has left our facility.

Once seafood leaves our shop, we cannot verify how it was transported or stored (temperature control), and therefore we cannot resell it or accept it back into our inventory.

3. Inspection at Pick-Up

We strongly encourage all customers to inspect their order at the time of pick-up.

  • Please check that your order is correct (weight, type of fish/shellfish).

  • Please verify the freshness and quality before leaving the shop.

  • Once the transaction is complete and the product leaves the premises, the sale is considered final.

4. Refunds & Issues

While all sales are final, we understand that issues can occasionally happen. If you discover a quality issue after you have left:

  • Timeframe: You must contact us within 24 hours of your purchase.

  • Proof of Purchase: A receipt or proof of purchase is required.

  • Product Verification: In most cases, we require you to return the product to the shop or provide clear photographic evidence so we can inspect the issue. This helps us maintain quality control with our fishermen and distributors.

Refunds or store credits are granted solely at the discretion of management. If a refund is approved, it will be processed to your original method of payment.

5. Order Cancellations (Call-Ahead)

If you need to cancel a call-ahead order, please call us as soon as possible.

  • Unclaimed Orders: If a custom or large order is placed and not picked up by the close of business, we reserve the right to withhold a refund or deny future call-ahead privileges, as that fresh product may go to waste.

6. Proper Handling

Please note that Belles is not responsible for spoilage due to improper handling or storage after the product has left our care. We recommend taking your seafood directly home and refrigerating it immediately or storing it on ice.
